History of OHCC NuBees
The NuBees Group was started in February 2005 by Karen Quimby and Rita Harper with the assistance of Mike and Joyce Malloy. These four realized there was a need to meet other OHCC residents through an informal social hour. And so, NuBees began, with the purpose of bridging the new residents with the long time residents. It started out with just the four of them and grew to what it is today! It's become pretty popular and many new friendships and activities have formed as a result of its creation.

In 2023, the group was renamed Newbies and this new website was created. Photos from 2019 - 2024 are shown on the tabs above. Click on the link below to view the original NuBees website with photos going back to 2005.
The current leaders of Newbies will step down after the December 2026 event, and we know Ann Rike and Gay Spencer will carry on the tradition of warmly welcoming all who attend the quarterly gatherings.
